The Croatian coast of the Adriatic is adorned with the clear blue sea, wooded coastline and about 1600 islands. Imagine scuba diving here! The southernmost part of Croatia, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the city of Dubrovnik abound in remains of shipwrecks, so that this part of the Croatian coast is more and more often a target of both recreational and professional divers... In close vicinity to Dubrovnik there are several shipwrecks, the attractive Elafite Archipelago walls, the red coral colonies in some places… while in the Cavtat zone there are several protected antique shipwrecks (amphora sites and pythos - pitchers for storing grains).
